Hello Friends,

The month of December is a busy time, as always, at St. Andrew! We invite you to join us at our many events – we’re offering lots of options, both virtual and live (with masks and physical distancing).

We’ve highlighted many of these opportunities below, and don’t forget about our traditional Christmas Events – follow this link for those details!

Please join us – we look forward to connecting with you!

This year our Angel Tree Ministry looks a little different, just like the rest of 2020. Our partners at Prison Fellowship have worked hard to create an online platform that allows us to continue participating in Angel Tree virtually. This year we will be able to choose a child or multiple children and purchase a $40 Walmart gift card that will go directly to the child of the incarcerated parent. The charge will be $42 as there is a $2 fee for processing. In addition, you will have the option to provide a gift card to the caregiver, as well, if you choose.

Thank you for connecting children with their incarcerated parents through Virtual Angel Tree! Follow this link to get started. You’ll need to enter the following access code: 18HX2. After entering the code, you will see virtual tags with the names of children assigned to St. Andrew. Simply browse through the tags, select the child(ren) you want to sponsor, and click checkout! With just a few clicks, you can show a prisoner’s child the love of Jesus—the greatest Gift of all.

Outdoor Worship– St. Andrew Presbyterian Church
Sunday, December 6 at 10:00 am

Dear Friends,

Join us for worship at St. Andrew, Sunday, December 6 at 10:00 am.This service will include recorded music, prayers, Scripture, Pastor Jan’s teaching, and Communion. (An online service will still be available that day with similar content).

We can take reservations up to 45 people + staff. There are still several seats left – if you’ve been holding off, please RSVP now! We expect the service to last about 45 minutes, allow 60 minutes for leaving carefully socially-distanced.

We have these guidelines in place for everyone’s safety, in accordance with CPC and Sonoma County guidelines, and approved by our Covid Taskforce:

We will greet you, check your temperature, receive your signed agreement and guide you to your assigned seats.
Participants will always stay 6-feet apart and wear masks.
It is important not to physically greet one another in any way.
Unfortunately, no chatting in groups is allowed on church property.
We will ask each person to use hand sanitizer before sitting.
Sanitized chairs will be spaced with at least 6 feet between individuals or family groups.
No bulletins will be provided, and no singing is possible for safety.
Participants will leave with self-contained communion kits that they can open in their cars or at home. Please do not leave the used packaging at the church!

Please click here to reserve seats for you and/or your family (first come, first served). Please list all family members in your “Covid bubble” who will attend with you so we can pre-assign a cluster of chairs for you.

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to our Worship Service Agreement. Please sign the Agreement and bring it with you to the service – this will shorten check-in lines the day of the service.

Thank you! We look forward to worshipping together

Christmas Hope 2020 is a Live Nativity for the Community of Sonoma, celebrating the light in the darkness. St. Andrew has partnered with fellow Sonoma Communities of Faith to find the hope in this challenging year.

Together, with our site partner Hanna Boys Center, on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 5-8pm and Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 5-8pm the community of Sonoma is invited to drive through the beautifully decorated Hanna campus and follow the Christmas story, viewing the Live Nativity.

We will be following Covid-19 safety protocols and guests will stay in their cars, enjoying this great family event, while tuning in to the Christmas story.

This event will also be a community fundraiser for our local non-profits. The entrance way to Hanna will be beautifully lit by Christmas trees, donated by Moon Mountain Christmas Tree Farm. We invite St. Andrew members and friends to consider sponsoring a tree – all proceeds will benefit our annual Romania Flour/Food Mission. To donate to this beautiful and meaningful mission project (any amount is gratefully accepted – $25, $50, $100, or $200 to sponsor an entire tree) simply follow this link to donate.

Following the drive through event, the decorated trees will be delivered by the St. Andrew Youth Group on Monday, December 21st to a F.I.S.H. (Friends in Sonoma Helping) appointed local family in need, to brighten their Christmas celebration!

We hope you are all excited about this wonderful event, and will consider helping out and joining in the fun! We have several volunteer positions to pull off the many details for this event. Follow this link for volunteer opportunities!

Please continue your giving during this time, so that St. Andrew may continue to serve our local community and our membership. We recognize that some of you have been impacted financially by economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. For those of you who can, please continue to give on a regular basis.

There are several options available:

  • Give electronically to the St. Andrew General Fund
  • Set up your donation to St. Andrew to be paid through your bill paying service at your personal bank.
  • Mail a check to St. Andrew, or drop your envelope into our locked mail box: 16290 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA 95476
