What Is It?
You’re a pre-schooler, and the world is bursting with newness. Each day is filled with one new discovery after another. Where did that bird come from? Look, the moon is shaped funny tonight! Who thought to color the butterfly like that?
First Look is a web-based curriculum that uses engaging activities to introduce pre-school children (ages birth to five) to God. First Look gives children a first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of His love for each one of them.
What is it?
Elementary-age kids are in a constant state of discovery. Think about all the different things they are trying for the first time and what they’re learning every day, even how to make (and keep) friends.
How can we tap into the way kids are naturally wired to discover‚ so they can begin to experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them and how much He loves them?
How can we show them God’s big story and help them discover the active part they can play in this life-long adventure, to be more like Him?
252 BASICS curriculum and resources PROVOKE DISCOVERY, inviting kids to live out their new understanding of how to grow in relationship with God and with others.

To be their best, children need to feel loved. But if you and your child speak different love languages, your affection might get lost in translation, affecting the child’s attitude, behavior, and development.
Dr. Gary Chapman’s groundbreaking Five Love Languages series has helped millions of couples communicate love more clearly, and Dr. Ross Campbell M.D. has applied the innovative system to children as well. The 5 Love Languages of Children gives practical suggestions for learning how your children interpret love and creating a sense of security in which they can thrive. Now with over 1,000,000 copies sold!
Does your child speak a different language? Sometimes do they wager for your attention, and other times they ignore you completely? Sometimes they are filled with gratitude and affection, and other times they seem totally indifferent. Everything depends on the love relationship between you and your child. When children feel loved, they do their best.
It will help you develop stronger, more fulfilling relationships with your children by teaching parent and child to speak each others’ love language. While you are doing all you can to show your child love, they may be hearing it as something completely opposite. Discover your child’s primary language and learn what you can do to effectively convey unconditional feelings of respect, affection, and commitment that will resonate in your child’s emotions and behavior.
