ST. ANDREW ADVENT SERIES ~ Darkness and Light ~ The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5). Worship each Sunday at 9:00am—Nov. 28th, Dec. 5th, 12th, 19th. Our world is in need of compassion, hope, encouragement and kindness. We are called to walk as children of the light. Join us this Advent Season as we journey together towards Bethlehem.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PAGEANT—PERFORMED DURING WORSHIP SERVICE ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12TH.  ***Important Dates***:

FRIDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 10TH: REHEARSAL FOR ALL CHILDREN—FROM 3:30 TO 5:00 PM

Due to sharing space in the sanctuary, our rehearsal day is on Friday. We look forward to your child participating in this cherished Christmas tradition.

THE BROTHERHOOD—FUN WITH A PURPOSE: St. Andrew Men’s Group—Join us for “Fun” at the Maxwell Village Fun Center! 1:00PM on December 12th. Bring your own drinks; $10 donation for lunch. RSVP by the 9th on your communication card or to: [email protected]

THE 2022 FLOWER CHART IS IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL—COST IS $75.    

Sign up early to get that special date.  Sign up to—celebrate a birthday or anniversary, honor someone special, remember a loved one or just because you want to make a contribution for a floral arrangement that will bring pleasure to our church family.  Simply write your name and phone number on the flower chart on the line by the date of your choice.  Prior to your chosen Sunday, you will be sent a letter from the church office confirming your sign-up, a form to fill out specifying what you would like printed in the News and Notes, and a return envelope to mail the form and your check back to St. Andrew. 

WELCOMING HOME: Check your emails for the link to the online donation form for both new and gently used items needed to settle a mother and her two children into their new apartment as part of St. Andrew’s work with Welcoming Home. a reminder, donated items should be in great shape and things you would be proud to display in your own home. A ST. ANDREW CHRISTMAS TRADITION!! SIGN UP TODAY TO RING BELLS FOR F.I.S.H. Each year families and friends of St. Andrew ring the Christmas Bells at Lucky Market to benefit F.I.S.H. Have fun and support this local ministry by signing up for a 2-hour shift on weekends, beginning on Friday, December 3rd.  We are looking for two people per shift.  It’s a great way for you, your children, spouse and friends to share the Christmas Spirit! Grab a partner and sign-up on the board!

HELP US CONTINUE THE ST. ANDREW SHOEBOX MINISTRY! Once again this year, our Shoeboxes are going to Sonoma County children who are in need via the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance. Your Shoebox gift is sure to put a smile on their faces and hope in their hearts! Stop by the table TODAY to pick up your plastic shoebox and receive further information and suggestions for items to include. Unwrapped Shoeboxes should be returned to St. Andrew no later than Sunday, DEC. 12TH.

ANGEL TREE WILL AGAIN SERVE CHILDREN OF IMPRISONED PARENTS: Angel Tree provides the opportunity to deliver Christmas gifts to the children of imprisoned parents—on behalf of an absent Dad or Mom and in the name of Jesus Christ.  Volunteers are needed to assist with delivery. WORSHIP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Are you looking for a way to be of service alongside our St Andrew family? We’re looking for 2 ushers each Sunday to help collect the offering, be helpful in seating our congregants, and general service during our Sunday Worship Service. Please contact Skye Miller to signup or for details and questions.

ST. ANDREW IS GOING SOLAR! If you’d like to join our Solar Capital Campaign to assist with the upfront costs of our solar panels, complete the Pledge Card in your bulletin and place it in the offering plate.

On-Going Opportunities

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY—NEW TIME! Every Tuesday from 11:00am-12:00pm in the St. Andrew Conference Room—All are welcome!

PIZZA AND THEOLOGY— the last Thursday of every month at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Join us for a slice of pizza as we gather around a table to discuss our most pressing questions about God. Donations to cover the cost of the pizza dinner are gratefully accepted. NOTE: we will meet Thursday, Dec. 2nd due to Holiday schedules and revert back to our regular schedule in January. All are welcome!

FRIDAY MORNING MOMS’ MEDITATION—9:30-10:30am in the St. Andrew Conference Room. Whether you are a meditation guru or are just needing some quiet time to yourself, we want to provide a space for you to decompress and connect with other moms. Meditation is led by Pastor Nicole—Childcare will be proved in the Preschool Room. Bring a friend!

GRACEFUL AGING WOMEN’S GROUP—every 2nd and 4th Fridays from 2:00-3:15pm on Zoom. All women are welcome—contact Becky Minor with questions. NOTE: the ladies will not meet on November 26th and December dates have been moved to Friday, December 3rd and 17th.

ACOUSTIC SUNDAY—the 3rd Sunday of every month during Worship Service at 9:00am—A slightly less traditional service with acoustic music throughout the service.
