Sundays’ at 8:30 am & 10:15 am
“ORANGE” is our Young Children’s Ministry at St. Andrew
Ministering to young people is a primary focus at St. Andrew. We seek to offer a warm and inviting environment for your children to learn about the Bible and enjoy their experience at church. We offer a full Sunday School program during both services. There is a special place for children of every age at St. Andrew.
Each topic for kids offers a clue as to what everyone will learn in church. Children are then dismissed to attend their Sunday School Classes and have fun with friends.
Don’t miss Discovery Time at the beginning of each Sunday Service in church.
OUR KIDS NEED PRAYER
now more than ever!
At St. Andrew, we follow a program based on Luke 2:52: And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Did you know? St. Andrew is an orange church. This means we combine the love of our immediate family (in red), with the love of our church family (in yellow). We are excited to learn and grow alongside your children and help to strengthen the family of Christ! St. Andrew is calling for faithful prayer warriors on behalf of our children. We are also in need of faithful volunteers to share the love of Christ with our kids. NO experience necessary; just the desire to share your spiritual gifts and the ability to make a short or long-term commitment in the season ahead. Can you help? Please mark your availability and interest on the communication card.
For our children, Infants and K-5th grade, we provide a nurturing, dynamic hands-on program that makes learning the bible stories fun, interactive, and meaningful. It is our goal that each child is LOVED, LAUGHS, and LEARNS each Sunday.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Children are a priority at St. Andrew. As with all our programs, we strive to provide the best care, loving arms, and safe environment for our children during Sunday services. The nursery is open for newborn infants through 2 years. Our friendly nursery staff can be found in the Nursery Room upstairs from the main sanctuary.
DISCOVERY TIME: As part of worship services each Sunday, the Director of Children’s Ministry includes “Discovery Time”, bringing young members of the congregation forward for a brief discussion of important issues and the delivery of life lessons in language they can understand.
NURSERY: Paid nursery staff and church volunteers care for young children of parents attending Sunday services and adult education programs. Regina is our primary caregiver for the nursery and usually waits in the middle of the church (in the main entryway to the sanctuary) before the service starts to greet children and parents as they come in.
Miss Karen leads our Sunday School classes each week
with structure and sharing God’s love.
In Sunday School, children learn the basic truths about God’s love.
Dear St. Andrew Families & Friends,
St. Andrew values families and we strive to create the most meaningful bible based Sunday morning experience for children. Sunday School is offered at both the 8:15am and 10:15am services for our Infant, Preschool, and Kinder-5th grade children.
Remember, we are an ORANGE church. What does that mean? It means our model takes the heart of the family (red) partners it with the light of the church (yellow), to create a powerful ORANGE team! Our goal is to provide quality instruction to your children regarding the bible and its truths while helping to empower parents to share their faith in the home!
There are three basic truths children need to learn. Each program highlights age appropriate lessons.
A weekly devotional is available by email to help you connect to your children’s Sunday School learning. If you would like to ‘opt in’, please send a quick request to our office: [email protected]
We hope you find it most useful as you and your child work through this together…

What’s this program you ask? Well…
POWER UP! – The children begin in the church with their parents for shared worship. Following the children’s message, they are dismissed to their Sunday school classes.
STORY TIME! – The weekly bible story is told through a short video in room 102.
CATCH ON! – Here children leave to their small groups with their small group leader. First service our children are divided into two groups, K-2 and 3-5 grades. During second service there is a K-5 class. The group will explore the story through art, games, discussion, and of course, reading the bible. During this time they will also work on their monthly bible memory verse.
PRAY OUT! – Students pray, share, and reflect on the weekly learning before charging out the door in search of parents and donuts.
We are looking forward to seeing you at The God Zone, this Sunday! Invite a friend! Invite your neighbors! Bring your grandchild! It’s going to be AMAZING!

Our Children’s Ministry at St. Andrew is called The God Zone. For our children, infant-5th grade, we provide a dynamic hands-on program that makes learning the bible stories fun, interactive, and meaningful. It is our goal that each child is LOVED, LAUGHS, and LEARNS each Sunday.
This year our “orange curriculum” returns! Here the heart of the family (red) partners with the light of the church (yellow), to create a powerful ORANGE team! Our goal is to provide quality instruction to your children regarding the bible and its truths while helping to empower parents to share their faith in the home!
There are 3 basic truths children need to learn and our programs highlight age-appropriate lessons.
During THE GOD ZONE children have the opportunity to tithe in their Sunday School classes each Sunday. The money collected is sent to a family in Africa that our children’s ministry and Missions Committee support. So please encourage your children to bring their quarters. The children will correspond with our missionaries in Africa each month and learn more about their work and life in Africa!
