Sundays at 9:00 am

For our children, Infants, Toddlers and K-5th grade, we provide a nurturing, dynamic hands-on program that makes learning the bible stories fun, interactive, and meaningful.  It is our goal that each child is LOVED, LAUGHS, and LEARNS each Sunday.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Children are a priority at St. Andrew. As with all our programs, we strive to provide the best care, loving arms, and safe environment for our children during Sunday services.

DISCOVERY TIME: As part of worship services each Sunday, the Director of Children’s Ministry includes “Discovery Time”, bringing young members of the congregation forward for a brief discussion of important issues and the delivery of life lessons in language they can understand.

NURSERY: The nursery is open for newborn infants through 2 years. Our friendly nursery staff can be found in the Nursery Room upstairs from the main sanctuary.

Paid nursery and preschool staff and church volunteers care for young children of parents attending Sunday services and adult education programs. Carmina is our primary caregiver for the nursery and usually waits in the middle of the church (in the main entryway to the sanctuary) before the service starts to greet children and parents as they come in.

Sunday School

“So let us do all we can do to live in peace. And let us work hard to build each other up.” Romans 14:19

Miss Monica leads our Sunday School classes each week with structure and sharing God’s love.

Sunday School – Preschool

Our preschool classes are taught by Miss Monica. Group’s BUZZ curriculum fosters a friendship with God. This curriculum seeks to create a spiritual transformation that happens when kids come to know Jesus, rather than just know about Jesus. Our job is to prepare the soil of kids’ hearts so seeds of faith can grow, and a true relationship with Jesus can happen.

Sunday School Grades K-5 – Elementary students

In K-5 Sunday School, children will engage in “important lessons about courage, faith, hope and much more from timeless, powerful Bible Stories”. Our current curriculum is based on Friends and Heroes

The adventure stories take place almost two thousand years ago, yet Macky and the gang will appeal to today’s children; they are inspirational, and very real characters…. funny and brave, but just like us in the twenty-first century, they don’t always get things right! They face similar issues and dilemmas to those faced by youngsters today. Their experiences, combined with the stories they tell, will help foster respect for and kindness to others, as well as encouraging tolerance.

Our Friends and Heroes curriculum seeks to empower children to listen to their conscience and to make good decisions about respect, kindness, compassion, faith and tolerance based on knowledge and not ignorance.

In Sunday School, children learn the basic truths about God’s love.
