New Study and Sermon Series

Our Small Group Ministry is a solid example of God’s Grace at work.  Transformed lives, strengthened faith, and a deeper connection to the St. Andrew community are a daily part of the many small groups of St. Andrew.

For those of you who are not already a part of a St. Andrew group, we invite you to study with us in a group setting during our upcoming “What’s So Amazing About Grace?” sermon series.  The Sunday service and sermon coupled with a complimentary study within a supportive small group has proven to be a very powerful experience.  The forging of lifelong friendships and a heightened awareness of God’s presence have been the resultant effect of these study/sermon series.

During the next few weeks, there will be an opportunity to sign up with a group who will devote the next 10 weeks to the Amazing Grace study.  We have groups that meet every day of the week and at various times and locations.

There is a group for you!

Check our Small Group page for a list of groups/days/times.

The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? By Rick Warren. “What on earth am I here for?” “What is my purpose?” Those questions confront each one of us. According to Rick Warren, author of the award-winning The Purpose-Driven Church, the answer is found in God. Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s plan for us on earth. The Purpose-Driven Life takes the message of The Purpose-Driven Church and shows us how to apply it to our individual lives. By first understanding God’s plan for our lives, we can then see the big picture of what life is all about and begin to live the life God had in mind for us. Written in a devotional style, The Purpose-Driven Life is divided into 40 short chapters that can be read as a daily devotional, or studied in small groups.

The Treasure Principle. By Randy Alcorn. In this first book in the LifeChange series, bestselling author Randy Alcorn introduces readers to a revolution in material freedom and radical generosity that will change lives around the world. Ninety-five percent of Christians have never come to terms with a biblical perspective on their material possessions, Alcorn writes. God has entrusted his wealth to us and called upon us to manage and invest his money. This is in everyone’s best interests, including our own. When Jesus told his followers to “lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, he intended that they discover an astounding secret: how joyful giving brings God’s maximum glory and his children maximum pleasure.

A New Kind of Christian: A Tale of Two Friends on a Spiritual Journey. By Brian D. McLaren. For all who feel “burned out” on church comes a heartwarming tale of spiritual renewal, relevant for today’s confusing, divisive world. Answers to life’s pressing spiritual questions unfold in this delightful fable chronicling a series of surprising, inspiring conversations between a minister and his daughter’s science teacher. Grappling with his own dissatisfaction with Christianity, can a pastor discover truth from an unlikely source? 224 pages, hardcover from Wiley & Sons.
