Day 7: Oct. 17th, 2004

Day of R & R.....But first we thought you would like a look at Lydia, Jim’s clown-in-training! She usually works in town during the week, but helped the cooking crew on Sat.

Today, Cam is leaving. We hate to see him go! So we took another group photo which also includes Brenda, who wasn’t with us last week. He did accompany us for the first part of our trip. We went to visit a small village with two lovely churches. Notice the dog inside one of them. In the Plaza area, there was a Mayan edifice that had been moved from an archeology site. There are many in the hills around the area. We drove through coffee plantations and visited a beautiful coffee house called Santa Luticia. Some of us had the Luticia Chill which was a secret recipe. Mmmmm good!

Then we went on to a market place where there seemed to be a contest going on with children dancing. Other scenes of the market places shows their wares. There also were shops full of all kinds of interesting local wares. We bought a few, of course. The last picture shows Antonio, the mayor of Buenos Aires, and his two daughters Nellie and Mariela.

We ended the day with Domino’s Pizza. Would you believe that?
