| On the Scene Reports The 2004 St. Andrew El Salvador Mission Day 3: Oct. 13th, 2004 Brenda Albertz arrived today! Hooray! And since Lynn Klingberg decided to stay behind due to some computer glitches, she was able to greet Brenda with open arms. The rest of the crew left in the old ambulances at 7:15AM. They needed to clean the slab because of the awesome thunderstorm and torrential rains the night before.
The better part of the day was spent entertaining the kids with balloons, candy and just interacting with them as the came from or went to school. (See Jim McFarland below).
Other members of the crew went out to get needed supplies. Here you see them with the local villagers unloading the cement bricks. Both the crew and the villagers work diligently to keep the worksite and surrounding area clean for the residents. The container is due tomorrow. Stay tuned. |
